IAN SANTILLANO

  Ian Santillano is a Bay Area-based 2nd-generation Filipino-American indie-soul singer, songwriter, musician, and producer. Ian Santillano, from Hayward CA, is a 2nd generation genre-bending Filipino-American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer. Ian showcases his gifts of clever harmony, soulful melodies, subconscious grooves, vulnerable lyrics, exceptional guitar work, and an unbelievable voice. Above all, Ian embodies the healing love that music has given him and gives it back to whomever may be listening.  

  He’s worked with Rexx Life Raj, Jeremy Passion, MisaJames, Women’s Audio Mission, Upswell Studios, The Top Chefs, Afterthought, ANGALO, Rocky G, Ruby Ibarra, The Super Soul Brothers, Aisea Taimani, and many more in the local Bay Area scene and beyond in multiple capacities: as a guitarist, a singer, a producer, a beatmaker, a writer, a performer, an arranger, and an engineer.

  An amazing talent, songwriting prowess, and a truly unique voice and perspective. Multiple songs on this project would land on Editorial Spotify playlists including Nu-Funk and Ready for the Day. In 2022, Ian released his debut album, a 12-track body of work called Intropy (introspective-entropy).  Co-produced by LASI, Intropy is a masterful fusion of Ian’s broad array of influences – soul, folk, rock, funk, RnB, and jazz. Ian’s songwriting, arranging, singing, guitar playing, and production are beautifully captured…

  In early 2026, Ian would release IAN, a 4-track EP. Recorded in 3 days at York Recording in Highland Park, LA with full live takes with a band all in the same room together through analog preamps and microphones, IAN is Ian’s homage to the vintage sounds that have shaped his heart. The growth, maturity, and confidence running through IAN directly oppose the return to vulnerability, accountability and most importantly his child self. IAN is the beginning of a new chapter for Ian – a chapter for him step out of himself and into the world, ready to be seen. Ian was executive produced, distributed, and released by Bolo Music Group.
