HOUSE OF LOVE ~ ft. CASA DEL SOL & Dagnasterpus ( + Special Guests)
The House Of Love is a monthly musical collaborative hosted and curated by Casa Del Sol to honor the rich musical heritage of the San Francisco Bay area. We will gather the cream of the crop of our extended musical family and summon the power of music, conjuring love and light so we can all drive out the darkness. The inaugural show on Thursday 2/26 will feature San Francisco’s own psych/soul rockers Casa Del Sol, followed by the Los Angeles funk soul powerhouse, Dagnasterpus. A late night set will mash those artists up with some very special guests and musical luminaries for an all-out Boom Boom Room Style throwdown. Meet ‘cha at the House Of Love!
Casa Del Sol
Casa Del Sol is a band of brothers, a psychedelic soul-rock supergroup steeped in San Francisco’s richly diverse musical heritage. Members of Casa Del Sol have deep roots in both the Northern and Southern California music scenes, forming a quartet that is song-oriented, but which also specializes in telepathic interplay with moments of soaring improvisation and dramatic arrangements. The four-piece group’s freewheeling but distinctive aesthetic encompasses strains of psychedelia, soul, rock, blues, jazz, folk, and world music. The proudly San Francisco, California-based band released its debut album this past year, Strange Angels, a “turn on, tune in, drop out” journey, and they are currently working on their follow up album.
Dagnasterpus
Dagnasterpus was born at 30,000 feet somewhere between Los Angeles and New Orleans, when a benevolent, funky creature—part octopus, part Poseidon, part Buddha—fell out of bandleader Tree Adams’ head in 2017. The band that emerged from the mighty DAG serves up a gritty blend of swampy grooves, deep blues, and psychedelic jams.
