  The Okeba Crew is back at the Boom Boom Room on Friday, March 20th. After almost a year, the band will be returning to the legendary San Francisco venue, providing two sets of ego dissolving symphonic pleasure! 

  The band begins the night with a set of their original music, mixing sounds from around the world, in a laid back, California style. At set break, each member takes a sip from the electric kool-aid punch bowl. They head back to the green room, feeling uneasy. All of a sudden, their hair starts growing rapidly, their noses get bigger and tails drop to the floor. They’ve become Possums! Time to PLAY DEAD! They head back to the stage and play a second set, consisting only of Grateful Dead tunes. 

  Okeba was formed in the early days of 2025, as a blue ember began glowing in the wilderness. Four men from distant lands were the only people to feel this light burning, calling to them. So, they each traveled from distant lands, until they all reached the same spot, at the same time. At that moment, they knew what needed to be done.

  The band is recording their first album, which will be released to the general public in the coming months! Come on down for a great show, bring your friends, your cousins, your mom and your mom’s cousins. Let’s boogie down!
