Ricky G Hosts the Fillmore Afterparty

Ricky G returns to San Francisco to host the Karl Denson Bday Afterparty!  Tiny Universe plays at the Fillmore this night, and Ricky will jet over to Boom Boom after for a late set with his Band!  Fresh off a burner at The Mustache Bash, and a Record Release that features George Porter Jr (of The Meters), Ricky G and his all star cast of musicians will be firing on all cylinders for this night! 

Plus, you never know who will come sit in from the Fillmore show 😉

This electric evening will feature original music from Ricky and organist Kevin Lum (English Beat/Tony Clifton), music of the Meters, funky homages to the Grateful Dead and much more!  Be ready to Boogie and don’t miss this Epic aftershow!

A Dominican New York transplant, Ricky G came up the ranks playing guitar in San Diego, eventually landing with legendary saxophonist and hometown hero Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe (The Rolling Stones/Greyboy Allstars).  Ricky also recently released his first 7” Record, Oak Street Blues, ft. George Porter Jr., (The Meters), Deven Trusclair (Dumpstaphunk/Tank and the Bangas), Kevin Lum (The English Beat) & Alfred Jordan (Karl

Denson’s Tiny Universe).  Recorded in New Orleans during Jazzfest Week Ricky G has performed with legendary funk and rock artists through his career, including, George Porter Jr. (The Meters/Dr. John/Patti Labelle/), Robert Randolph, Ivan Neville (Dumpstaphunk), Chuck Leavell (Rolling Stones/Allman Brothers/George Harrison/Eric Clapton/John Mayer), Bernard Fowler (Rolling Stones/Herbie Hancock), Daniel Ponder, Kenneth Crouch (Terrace Martin, DJ Quik, Brandy, Mark Anthony) and Lige Curry (Parliament Funkadelic) to name a few.  He’s also worked closely with Grammy Award Winning Producer Kamau Kenyatta (Gregory Porter-Liquid Spirit/Take Me to the Alley).
